Washington DC

At the airport we got a one way flight to Washington DC for a total of $436.00 for what turned out to be a horrible event again for Colton who hates the plane trips and again was warned about plane jail and again was relieved when they landed in the Washington DC airport, IAD.When we arrived in our hotel, the Omni Shoreham Hotel, which cost $152.15 per night and we were staying 3 nights, but we also had to pay tax which was $64.23. We went to our room and put our stuff up and went to beddie bie. The next morning we woke up to a horrible songbird. From the hotel we left directly to take a tour of the White House where everyone except for Colton got a signed autograph of Obama. Then we drove a taxi for $7.00 to Philadelphia to go see the Declaration of Independence in the new congress building. We got a copy of the Declaration of Independence for $5.00, and saw a speech this boring guy made about how these papers are America's foundation and that they are totally awesome. After that we went to a seafood restaurant called Kinkead's and where Colton got new England seafood chowder for $9.00, and Joseph and Lawrence got the soup of the day for $9.00 each. Then Ali got a creamy polenta for $7.00 for a grand total of $34.00.Then we went to the Washington Monument but Ali got scared and wet his pants so we had to go. We went to go eat at Mexican place called La Loma Mexican restaurant, I got chicken for $13.95, Joseph got the shrimp for $16.95, Lawrence got the Mexican steak for $17.00, and Colton got the steak for $14.95, which makes a total of $62.85. After that we went back to the hotel to hit the hay. The next day we went to the Smithsonian institute and saw the Sant ocean hall. Colton got scared by the big fishies but we did not want to leave so Colton just stayed in the bathroom for the rest of the time we were there. Then, we left to go eat dinner at a place called the Bombay Club. Colton got the lemon rice with cashews for $4.00, Lawrence got the vegitarian kesari aloo for $10.95, Joseph and Ali split the vinicin goroma for $24.00, which made a total of $38.95. For the next day we woke up and had a continental breakfast at our Marriott hotel. Then we went to the Lincoln Memorial and said "hello" to our former president. We also finally figured out how tall he really was. After that we ate lunch at a restaurant called called Tasca what turned out to be a french restaurant because the food names were so long as you are about to see. Lawrence and Colton shared the mozzarela de bufala con crpaccio di barbabietole timo fresco e pistacchi sicaliani for $13.00, and Joseph and Ali also shared the Insilata mista organica delle fattorie al condemento d'aceto balsamico e olio novello for $8.00. We went to the Smithsonian museum again to visit a butterfly pavilion for $6.00. It turned out to be a blast there was cute little butterflies quietly flying on the peaceful and soothing wind. After that we went to go eat at a costly restaurant called 701 that was actually located on Pennsylvania avenue! At 701 we ordered a delicacy called caviar, all of us got imperial caviar, for $160.00! Our total came out to be the amazing and eye-popping price of $640.00! We went back to our hotel and got bit by bed bugs that night. Whe we woke up we had fruit loops for breakfast at the hotel. Then we went to the Veteran Wall it was just so touching that we all cried are eyes out that so many people would die for our country. We went back to the IMAX at the Eienstein Planaterium to see another show called black holes where you saw the drastic death of another star turning into the nightmarish form of a gargantuan black hole that sucks everything in its path so that not even light can't escape. It was weird because this time Joseph got scared because the black hole was too triangular.∆ [who would get scared by somthing looking too much like a triangle?] After that we went to go to another local restraunt called Goergia Brown where Ali got the crispy chicken livers for $7.00, Colton and Lawrence both got the down home split pea soup for $7.00 each, and Joseph got the Charlston she crab soup for $10.00. The total cost came out to be $31.00. We left and went to our hotel to get the our stuff. We checked out of our hotel and payed the total cost of $672.84 and went outside. Outside we called for a taxi cab for $7.00 for it to pick us up and take us to the airport where we will leave for New York. The entire cost of this trip was a ultimate total of the amazing price, $1961.64.
