Hi guys, it's me, Ali, as your narrator again, and we're going to Sacramento, California! First, we got to the RNO Airport so we could leave Lake Tahoe, and go to Sacramento, California, and I kept whining because I wanted to go to sleep, so they sang me a lullaby, and I went to sleep. So, then we got on the plane, the tickets cost $179.00 per person, so the total was $716.00. The plane left at 7:40 pm, and would arrive at the SMF Airport (the Sacramento, California airport) at 11:25 am, so it was a 15 hour and 45 minute fly. Lawrence was the first to fall asleep, he fell asleep at 8:00 pm, I fell asleep at 9:30 pm, Colton went to sleep at 11:00 pm, and Joseph went to sleep at 1:00 am. Colton woke up at 3:00 am, and held a picture of Lawrence up to my face, then woke me up, and I screamed and woke everybody up, and was told to quiet down. Then, at 6:30 am, everyone was awake. Then, finally, it was 11:25 am, and Colton was so happy because he didn't get thrown in plane jail this time. So, then we went into our Chevrolet TrailBlazer that cost $93.00 a day, so, since we're staying three days, the total would be $279.00. Then, we rode it to to our hotel, the Red Lion Hotel, we got the two double beds non-smoking room, which cost $136.10 per night, and since we're staying there 2 nights, it made a total of $272.20. We've spent a total of $1267.20 so far on this trip. We got there at 11:45 am, then we decided to go have breakfast (even though it was a little late) at Tower Cafe. We all got famous french toast for $5.95 each, so the total was $23.80. Colton was happy and kind of freaked out while eating his french toast. He was happy because he was eating something famous, but he was freaked out because if it was famous, then how come he didn't hear about it back in Mesquite. So then, when we finished at 12:30 pm, we decided to go back to the hotel, and watch some television. We watched until 1:30 pm because we decided to go get brunch at the California Cafe. I got the thai vegetable pasta for $14.50, Joseph and Lawrence got the Asian chicken salad for $11.00 each, and Colton got the napa chicken sandwich for $13.00, which makes a total of $49.50. Everyone had a good time there because Colton was lost in his chicken sandwich, so he didn't bother us this time. It was wonderful, peace loving time. When we were done, we decided to do something fun, we went to Raging Waters, a super fun water park. We got there at 2:15 pm, and the tickets cost $27.99 per person, which makes a total of $111.96. It cost a lot but it was worth it! First, we rode the Dragon's Den. It was awesome, we went down 5 stories in the slide, and then we fell down to the dragon's den, and Colton peed in his pants but since we were in the water, nobody noticed. Next we went to the Cliffhanger! We all raced each
other down a big 6 story ride that felt like it went straight down, (but I couldn't tell) and here were the results of the race, Lawrence was first place, Joseph was second place, I was third place, and Colton was last place. Now it was 3:45 pm because the lines were super long! Anyway, we were getting hungry, so we decided to do one more ride and then leave, and we chose the Hurricane Bay Slide! It was scary and fun! We went down a big 6 story tunnel, and it was pitch black, but we went through twists and turns, until finally we fell into a pool and made a huge splash (especially Lawrence)! So then, it was 4:30 pm, so we decided to leave and go get lunch at 4th Street Grille. I got the classic burger for $8.95, Joseph got the 4th street club for $10.95, Colton got the grilled chicken for $11.95, and Lawrence got the new york steak for $16.95, which makes a total of $48.80. Colton got really mad by every bite that Lawrence took from his steak, but he didn't want this to be like New York, so he didn't do anything . . . for 5 seconds, then he went crazy and started wrestle with Lawrence, but of course we were all thrown out because of that. We all had enough food to survive until dinner, but I wanted to finish my burger, so I got mad at Colton and started to wrestle him, then Lawrence joined and we all fought, but Joseph just went back to the hotel. Then, when we noticed Joseph was gone, we all split up looking for him, but I knew he was in the hotel, so I went there and watched television with Joseph until Colton and Lawrence came back. When they came back, it was 7:10 pm, so we decided to go get dinner at Rio City Cafe. I got the turkey meatballs for $16.00, Joseph got the ravioli for $15.00, Colton got the penne pasta with pancetta for $14.00, and Lawrence was going to get the Angus prime rib, but then thought that Colton would attack him so he got the mussels for $17.00, which makes a total of $62.00. There, Lawrence was kind of sad because he didn't like fish, he wanted the Angus prime rib, but he knew Colton would've stopped him, so he got mad at Colton and he started fighting Colton. So, of course we were asked to leave, but it's weird that this time Colton didn't do anything. When we were done, it was 8:00 pm, so we decided to go back to the hotel and get some shut eye. The next day, Colton was the first to wake up, and he woke up at 7:00 am. So, he got close to my ear and screamed really loud, (but not loud enough to wake up people on other floors) and it scared me to death, first I fell off the bed and landed on the floor, then, that scream also woke up Lawrence so he screamed and fell off the bed and landed right on top of me, which hurt a lot. I fainted until 9:00 am, because Colton woke me up, then we decided to start our second day in Sacramento! We've spent a total of $1,563.26 on this trip so far.First, we went to get breakfast at The Silver Skillet, which we got to at 9:15 am. I got the grilled chicken for $9.25, Joseph got the smoked turkey for $9.25, Lawrence got the lonely eggs for $4.95, and Colton got oatmeal for $2.95, which makes a total of $26.40. Colton was getting a lot of napkins for Lawrence, so he could use them as tissues because Colton thought that Lawrence was sad, and that's why Lawrence got the lonely eggs, so he would have a friend. But then, Lawrence ripped up all the tissues and was asked to clean them all up. By the time he was done, it was 10:00 am, and we were all finished with our food, so we left and went to the hotel, but left Lawrence there to finish his food. By the time he came back to the hotel, it was 10:30 am, so we decided to to go to the
Gold Rush History Center. The admission was $5.00 per person, so the total was $20.00. First, we went to the community gallery. It showed stuff that people brought with them and what they did to create Sacramento, and it was so cool! Next, we went to the Lure of Gold. It was so cool, we saw different kinds of gold (and Lawrence wanted to steal some) and we learned that there are 26 to 28 varieties of gold in Sacramento (and Colton couldn't even count that high). Then, we went to the agricultural technology gallery! It was so cool, we got to see a lot of cool machines that were used to harvest crops in 1928, and we also learned that agriculture gave California $31.7 billion. Then, we went to the last thing we were going to in that museum, the McLathy 'changing' gallery. The exhibit we saw was Christmas on K street! It was so cool, but Colton kept wondering why they were talking about christmas, because it was September. We saw a lot of christmas things, and we saw how local department stores changed the Sacramentans celebrated and remembered the holidays! Then, it was 12:30, so we decided to go eat brunch at The Squeeze Inn. I got the breast of turkey sandwich for $4.85, Joseph got the hot dog for $3.85, Colton got the chicken taco for $2.90, and Lawrence got the corn dog for $1.95, which makes a total of $13.55. This time though, we made sure not to get anything made of cows, so Colton wouldn't get us kicked out. So, this time,we were all lost in our food, and were closing our eyes, focusing on only the taste of the food, except for Joseph. But then, when we were done with our food, we opened our eyes, and realized that we were all outside of the restaurant except for Joseph. So, when Joseph finished, it was 1:30 pm. So, we all went back to the hotel, and Joseph told us why we were all outside except for him. It turns out we got kicked out because the waitor asked us if we wanted to try their squeeze burger, but since we were lost in our food, we couldn't hear him, and he realized our eyes were closed, so he thought we were asleep, so he put us outside (but still let us eat our food). When we got back to the hotel, and Joseph was done telling us what had happened, it was 2:45 pm, so we went to get lunch at 33rd Street Bistro. I got ken's big daddy turkey burger for $9.95, Joseph and Colton got the grilled chicken club for $10.95 each, and Lawrence got the pan roasted herb half chicken for $17.95, which makes a total of $49.80. Colton got kind of mad at me because the name of my food ken's big daddy turkey burger, so he thought there was a person named Ken, who's dad was a turkey and they made him into a burger. But, he just said, "You disgust me," and then didn't talk to me, until the last five minutes when he . . . never mind, the point us we left the restaurant screaming (even Joseph) when we saw how mad Colton looked. So, anyway it was 3:30 pm when we were done, so we decided to go to the Science and Space Center. The admission was $5.00 per person, which makes a total of $20.00. There, Colton decided to do the space quest exhibit. Of course, Joseph, Lawrence, and I waited for him to finish, because he was the only adult there, everybody else there was a kid. Colton got to dress up like a spaceman, sit on moon rocks, and play games there. When he came out he was laughing with joy, but I slapped him, and he said, "Thanks I needed that." Then, he also went in the "got trees?" exhibit. But, of course it was for kids, but I decided to go with him anyway, and it was so much fun! We got to learn how trees grow, and visited a real log cabin. Then, we went to the bone zone exhibit, and convinced Lawrence to come. We saw bones of different animals, got to touch them, and we did interactive learning activities! Then, we went to the last thing we were going to do in there, the gee whiz geology exhibit, and we convince Joseph to come (well not convinced, but we used force)! We got to experiment in the geology stations, and we had so much fun, even Joseph had fun (not really)! So, then we were done, and it was 6:45 pm, so we decided to go to the Alamar Marina Restaurant and Bar. I got the chicken frangelico for $18.95, Joseph got the alamar chicken for $21.75, Colton got the teriyaki chicken breast for $17.95, and Lawrence got the fish & chips for $16.95, which makes a total of $75.60. But, Colton kept wondering why the fish and chips didn't have potato chips with him, and he even said, "I guess it will always be a mystery." He also kept wondering where the word teriyaki came from. When we were done, it was 8:30 pm, so we decided to go back to the hotel, watch some television, and go to bed. The next morning, Lawrence was the first to wake up, he woke up at 6:30 am, and he decided hide under the bed, until we wake up. I was the second to wake up, and I woke up at 7:00 am, and I woke up Colton, so we could go looking for Lawrence and when we got on the floor, he tripped us and hit us with pillows, so we had a pillow fight! Then, Joseph woke up, and we stopped pillow fighting and decided to start our last day in Sacramento. We've spent a total of $1767.61 on this trip so far. Now, we're going to go to the airport at 8:30 am, because the plane leaves at 9:05 am, so we're just going to go to breakfast, and then leave. So, we went to breakfast at Mel's Diner, which we got to at 7:25 am. I got chocolate lovers pancakes for $6.29, Joseph got turkey florentine benedict for $7.99, Colton got the eggs burrito for $7.99, and Lawrence got the Mel's platter for $5.59, which makes a total of $27.86. Colton kept going to bathroom to throw up because when he heard Lawrence order the Mel's platter, he thought that Lawrence said Mel's blatter, so he didn't look when Lawrence was eating, but he kept thinking of it, so he kept going to the bathroom. When we were done, it was 8:00 am, so we went to the airport and returned our car, so by then it was 8:30 am, and we were ready to go to Honolulu! This trip's total cost was $1,796.47.
